Creation Requires Space

When our lives are busy, and our homes and minds cluttered, it’s difficult to find space to create something new.

A great swami once said, “Creation requires space.”

When we moved in May, I lost my dedicated yoga room.  I kept trying to practice in different places in the house– hallways and throughways– but there just wasn’t space!  So I spent New Year’s day cleaning out a corner of my bedroom so that I’d have a yoga practice space.  Without space, there’s no hope for the best of intentions to take root.

The same is true in your mind and in the home you call your body.  What is cluttering you up?  Use your breath to exhale it out– on the mat, in the car, wherever!  The beautiful thing about yoga is that it’s portable!  You can do it anywhere!
